Robert Francis Kennedy Jr. (born January 17, 1954) is an American attorney, author, and politician. The son of Senator Robert F. Kennedy, he spent decades as an environmental attorney leading the Waterkeeper Alliance. He ran as an independent candidate in the 2024 U.S. presidential election before withdrawing and endorsing Donald Trump. He was subsequently appointed U.S. Secretary of Health and Human Services in the second Trump administration.
